During your studies, you have the opportunity to go abroad for a semester or longer. Studying abroad is not only a real “plus” on your resume, but also offers a unique opportunity to gain interesting experiences and make friends around the world, improve your language skills, and get to know other cultures. Yes, it takes courage, but that’s exactly why it’s worth it. You leave your comfort zone and gain new perspectives.

And when is the best time to think about going abroad? Now, of course! Because to truly benefit from your study abroad, you need some preparation time.

If you are studying Mathematics, Physics, Computer Science, Meteorology or Environmental Sciences at JGU and are interested in a stay abroad, you will find an introduction to research and application here.

On the MoveOn4 web portal, you will first find an overview of all partner universities of JGU: You select your field of study and then receive a list of all possible exchange options abroad with further details.

The individual partner universities are connected to JGU through various exchange programs, such as ERASMUS+ and FORTHEM, or through an individual university partnership. Structured exchange programs offer you, among other things, the advantage of exchange scholarships to finance your stay abroad.

In the physics program, you also have the option of pursuing a double degree and earning multiple degrees. For example, there is a program with the University of Valencia starting at the bachelor’s level, and one with the University of Pisa starting at the master’s level.

Further information can be found on the central websites regarding stays abroad.
