With its five institutes, Faculty 08 unites the study of the scientific fields of physics, nuclear physics, atmospheric physics, mathematics, and computer science under one roof. The interdisciplinary nature of this collaboration shapes both the internationally oriented research, which ranks among the best in the world (not least thanks to the PRISMA+ Cluster of Excellence), and, with over 20 degree programs, the extensive range of courses on offer. The promotion of young scientists and academic careers is an essential factor in shaping innovation and progress in our department in a sustainable manner. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
