Our faculty is home to five fields of study, which together offer more than 20 degree programs. In addition to bachelor’s and master’s degree programs with a sole focus on science, we also offer a complete teacher education program (Bachelor/Master of Education) in the subjects of physics, mathematics, and computer science.

Thanks to the close proximity of subjects and institutes at our faculty, interdisciplinary study programs have emerged alongside the classical subjects. For example, the Institute of Mathematics offers the master’s degree program “Computational Sciences“, the Institute of Computer Science houses the master’s degree programs “Computer Science and Natural Sciences” and “Applied Bioinformatics“, and the Institute of Physics also offers the bachelor’s and master’s degree program “Applied Physics” with a focus on Computer Science. And thanks to the interdisciplinary collaboration between the Institute of Geosciences and the Institute of Atmospheric Physics, the “Earth System Sciences” master’s program opens up a comprehensive field of Earth system research.
